Let me put you in situation: I have never knitted. I haven't even sewn the cuff of a pair of pants. I am kind of good with many things but regarding knitting I am absolutely lost even when my two grandmothers were both true artists with crochet and sewing, but me? I never got into that.... unfortunetely.
I also don't have crochet friends. But "It's never too late if happiness is good" says the Spanish proverb. So "alone in the face of danger" and living in a part of Sweden where there is not a single haberdashery in town.
Here I tell you my adventures of the last two months. The interest arose because I was looking for a hobby that was above all relaxing. Upon reading the incredible positive effects of knitting on the brain and body, I decided to buy the cheapest "pack" of yarn and crochet hooks that I could find on Amazon., to try something cheap, just in case, because with hobbies, maybe we end up shelving them...... So I show you what in my opinion was a good purchase, since in relation to the price (about 30 euros) I think it is not bad at all.
With the crocheting bag came everything you see in the photo plus seven more rolls of thread in brown, gray, yellow, black, pink, lilac and red. The 12 metal crochet hooks without anatomical handle range from 0.6 mm for the thinnest to 1.9 mm for the thickest. The nine hooks with anatomical handles have a very pleasant touch and I work very well with them. The thicknesses are: 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm, 5.0 mm, 5.5 mm, and 6.0 mm. The measurement is engraved on the rubber handle, which is good because when it is only printed in ink, it fades and in the end you don't know what measurement it is if you don't have a hook measuring ruler. Also the bag comes with six plastic wool needles and many plastic markers. In the next post, I will tell you how I start knitting. Do not miss it!.
